I am delighted to announce that the second National NHS Education for Scotland Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions (NMAHP) Education Conference (incorporating the 6th General Practice Nursing Conference) Beyond Boundaries - Inspiring Change will be held in the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on Thursday 9 May 2019. The conference provides a unique opportunity to bring together nurses, midwives and allied health professionals with an interest and passion for education and workforce development to share and debate priorities for the health and care sectors in Scotland.

The conference will be a mixture of plenary sessions and parallel sessions with a focus on education and development which challenges traditional boundaries around professional roles, practice settings, learning environments and access to learning and development opportunities. The conference will centre around four themes:

- Interprofessional learning and working within integrated teams
- Innovations in cross sector workforce education and continuing professional development
- Workforce development for digital health and care
- Practice education – national perspectives

Places will be allocated to ensure a fair distribution of places
