Anthony graduated from University of Salford in 1992 with BSc (Hons) in Biological and Biochemical Sciences.

He worked at Warrington NHS Trust in biochemistry department from 1992 to 1995 moving to a private, multidisciplinary laboratory in 1995 before joining West of Scotland Specialist Virology Centre in April 1999.

Anthony has worked in all departments of the laboratory including molecular, blood borne viruses, serology and dry blood spot testing, overseeing dry blood spot testing for the Needle Exchange Surveillance Initiative (PHS), Scottish Prison Study, Glasgow Mosque Study and Gay Mens Sexual Health Study.

Now Technical Manager in BBV and Serology section, travelled to Sierra Leone to work at PHE laboratory in Port Loko in July and August 2015.
