With a background in medicine from the National Medical University of Mongolia, Bayarmaa came to UK in 2004, completing an MSc in Biomedical Science before taking up a post at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, leading to the position of Senior Genetics Technician in the Human Genetics Laboratory. Since 2016 Bayarmaa has been working in her current position as Associate/Trainee Clinical Scientist within Molecular Pathology Service and Haematological Malignancy Diagnostic Service at NHS Lothian, Edinburgh.
