Head of Medical Physics

Professor David Sutton is head of Medical Physics for NHS Tayside. David holds an honorary chair at the University of Dundee. 

His own area of specialism is Radiation Protection and Diagnostic Radiology and he sits on the UK Government Committee on the Medical Aspects of Radiation in the Environment (COMARE).

He is also a member of ICRP (International Commission on Radiological Protection) Committee 3, which is concerned with medical uses of ionising radiation and is chair of the board of  RPA2000.

David is lead for the Scottish Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering Training scheme and is currently the lead for MPNET, the Scottish Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering diagnostic network.
