In her DCNO role Diane had professional leadership responsibility across the many spectrums of Adult Nursing, she also provided nursing leadership for quality, safety, leadership development and led work to enshrine safe staffing in law, culminating in the delivery of the Health and Care (Staffing) (Scotland) Act 2019. During 2020 to 2021 Diane supported the many efforts required in relation to the Pandemic working with clinicians across government but with a particular focus on adult social care. Diane is now using these skills to support the Social Care team in delivering one of the most significant pieces of public service reform. Placing people at the centre of decision making.
