Trainee Clinical Scientist in Microbiology

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde

Imogen Johnston-Menzies is a first-year Trainee Clinical Scientist in Microbiology based in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Before starting her training, Imogen finished her PhD on the virulence of zoonotic Salmonella serovars at the University of Edinburgh. Her PhD studies led to her interest in the diversity of pathogens, how infections arise and the control of disease.

Imogen is currently enjoying learning about the diagnosis and clinical relevance of infections in the clinical virology and microbiology laboratories at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
