Jackie Walker is currently Head of Technical Services in the Pathology Department in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde. She has had a number of roles in her career, starting as a Biomedical Scientist in Virology in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in 1989, followed by a 6 year period in laboratory management in the commercial sector, before returning to NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in 2007, where she has been employed in various Technical Services Manager roles in Laboratory Medicine.

She is also currently a Scientific Manager for the Scottish Pathology Network (SPAN) and also represents Life Sciences in NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde's Healthcare Scientist Committee.
