Responsible for managing, developing and co-ordinating the local training and development needs within the Department of Laboratory Medicine. Lynne is celebrating 20 years this year with the NHS after taking up her post as a trainee Biomedical Scientist with the Histology Laboratory at Royal Infirmary Edinburgh and Western General Hospitals.

Other professional activities include UK NEQAS CPT Assessor, SVQ Level 3 Assessor, IBMS Verifier, Honorary lecturer at University of Edinburgh, and Treasurer for the IBMS Scottish Training Forum.

Lynne has been a mentor with MCR Pathways since 2019 and completed the Certificate in Leadership through MCR Pathways 2020. Lynne has been privileged to watch her young person blossom into a confident school leaver and we still meet up regularly as friends.
