Tamara's current Band 7 post will be changing into a new Quality role within the Blood Sciences in Lothian laboratories when the Royal Hospital for Sick Children (RHSC) laboratory closes. Tamara has 20 year plus state registered laboratory experience within multi discipline laboratory environments through working at three Lothian laboratory sites : Royal Hospital for Sick Children (RHSC), Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh (RIE) and Western General Hospital (WGH). She is currently undertaking the IBMS Certificate in Expert Practise in Quality Management distance learning at Ulster University. Tamara is an IBMS external specialist portfolio assessor. She co-ordinates the Harvey Gangs laboratory tours for the youngsters in her department and is a STEM ambassador supporting local schools and STEM events in Edinburgh.
